Thermostatic expansion valves are designed to maintain a constant superheat level at the evaporator outlet. By meticulously controlling the amount of refrigerant injected into the evaporator, these valves ensure optimal efficiency of the refrigeration system while adapting to variations in evaporator load and ambient temperatures.
This optimization not only enhances system performance but also safeguards the compressor by preventing liquid refrigerant from entering the suction line. Compared to systems utilizing capillary tubes, thermostatic expansion valves significantly reduce energy consumption.
The TE 2 valves for CO2, specifically upgraded to MWP 90 bar, are designed for sub-critical systems but do not feature internal pressure equalization.
TE2 valves boast an interchangeable orifice assembly, compatible with all valve body versions, refrigerants, and evaporating temperature ranges. Crafted from a special alloy, the valve cone and seat exhibit exceptional wear resistance, ensuring a long operational lifespan.
The charge within the thermostatic element is precisely matched to the refrigerant and the evaporating temperature range, as indicated by the laser engraving on the valve top.
Equipped with a highly responsive bulb, the system reacts quickly and accurately to temperature changes in the evaporator. The bulb is secured with a patented strap, facilitating quick, easy, and reliable mounting, ensuring excellent thermal contact with the suction tube.
