Thermostatic expansion valves maintain a constant superheat level at the evaporator outlet. They achieve this by precisely regulating the refrigerant flow into the evaporator, accounting for both the evaporator load and ambient temperatures. This precise control not only maximizes refrigeration efficiency but also ensures that liquid refrigerant does not enter the suction line, thereby preventing potential compressor damage. Compared to systems using capillary tubes, thermostatic expansion valves offer considerable energy savings.
Our state-of-the-art system design effectively prevents liquid refrigerant from entering the suction line, protecting the compressor from possible damage. This results in a system that is not only more reliable but also significantly more efficient.
The TE 2 valves, tailored for CO2 applications, are not available with internal pressure equalization. These valves are optimized for sub-critical systems and have been enhanced to withstand a Maximum Working Pressure (MWP) of 90 bar.
TE2 valves come with an interchangeable orifice assembly, making them adaptable to all valve body versions, various refrigerants, and a wide range of evaporating temperatures. For durability, the valve cone and seat are constructed from a specialized alloy known for its superior wear resistance.
The charge in the thermostatic element is carefully matched to the specific refrigerant and evaporating temperature range, with these critical details laser-engraved on the valve top for easy identification.
The bulb is engineered for rapid and precise responsiveness to temperature variations within the evaporator. Its cutting-edge design features a patented bulb strap, allowing for quick, easy, and secure mounting, ensuring excellent thermal contact with the suction tube.
