Thermostatic expansion valves maintain a constant superheat level at the evaporator outlet. This is achieved by precisely controlling the refrigerant flow into the evaporator, considering both the evaporator load and surrounding temperatures. Such control not only maximizes refrigeration efficiency but also ensures that liquid refrigerant does not enter the suction line, which could potentially damage the compressor. When compared to systems employing capillary tubes, thermostatic expansion valves offer significant energy savings.

The TE 2 valves designed for CO2 applications are not available with internal pressure equalization. These valves are optimized for sub-critical systems and have been upgraded to withstand a Maximum Working Pressure (MWP) of 90 bar.
TE2 valves feature an interchangeable orifice assembly, making them versatile for all valve body versions, refrigerants, and evaporating temperature ranges. To guarantee longevity, the valve cone and seat are crafted from a specialized alloy known for its exceptional wear resistance.
The thermostatic element's charge is meticulously matched to the refrigerant and the evaporating temperature range, with these details laser-engraved on the valve top for clarity.
The bulb provides rapid and precise response to temperature fluctuations within the evaporator. Its innovative design includes a patented bulb strap, enabling quick, easy, and reliable mounting, ensuring excellent thermal contact with the suction tube.
