The refrigerant gas, laden with oil in aerosol form, emerges from the compressor and enters the oil separator. Inside, the oil is meticulously intercepted as it traverses through a series of inlet and outlet metal webs, along with the shell wall. This intricate process causes oil particles to collide and coalesce into heavier droplets. These heavier droplets eventually descend, striking the separator wall, facilitating the final separation. The isolated droplets collect at the bottom, where a float-operated needle valve efficiently returns the oil to the crankcase or oil reservoir.
